I had a great collaborative weekend working with tech savvy Tim Dobbins and getting great advice from my sister, Laura Youngs, who works as a grant writer. I will update with new changes in the coming week 🙂
The idea started with a friend who is a high school chem teacher seeking supplies. Through many conversations, it became apparent that science curriculum is entirely dependent on the materials a teacher could secure. This creates a huge burden for teachers and a learning gap for students in underfunded programs.
So this idea is born from collaboration of a Garner High School teacher and local analyst working at Pace Analytical. I hope to expand to include more classrooms and partner with more companies. So far this has been an interesting experience and I know I have so much to learn.
